YOUR EXPERIENCE

Our world is full of photographers, so how do you choose? For me, it’s about a few things, but one of them comes from my intuition and ability to read my “hells yes!”. Not everyone has that, but if you do, I hope you’ll get that when adventuring through each of the webpages on my site and eagerly pop over to my contact page to send me a love letter so we start this swoon worthy relationship of ours.

But, if you don’t quite know. Let me get a little deeper into what I think what matters when choosing a photographer and more specifically choosing me.

There should be a shared belief in what photography means.

 WHAT’S THAT BELIEF?

Maybe my approach is a little different, or maybe not, but let me tell you what makes me feel alive in this work. I do it fully and with all of my heart. I’ve always said that if I dont love this work, then I will no longer do this work. This work, this absolutely awesome “job” of preserving your memories, your moments and milestones isn’t something I take lightly. It’s something so very special and thus, it should be done in the utmost special of ways. At least, that’s my thoughts on that.

I’ve been photographing people in love and rad families for over a dozen of years and it still hasn’t come close to being old. And that’s because I work in a world of love. Love is ever evolving, love is unique and constantly growing. Love shows up in new ways every single day inspiring me to see it a little clearer and from a more open place. People radiate with love and pass it on to the others and it feels so lucky to be so close to something so magical.

If that resonates with you, you’re in the right place. If not, that’s ok but I might not be for you, and that’s ok.

But if it does, then let’s keep going. I only have one more thing to say. And this part if about you and where you come in.

You are the biggest inspiration for me. Your realness, your rawness, and the in betweens. Your love, your laughter, and your moments of stillness. These are the things that inspire me. Those are the things that evoke all the feelings from a photograph and carry the memories from these moments. And the only way to do this, in my opinion, is by doing it in the most honest way.

So if you are using words like posed, smile & cheese, look at the camera, or starting the relationship off telling me that you despise photos, or hate the experience of being photographed, then our experiences are not one and the same. And, again that’s ok.

Because we all have our people, I’m just looking for those people who are into marrying the magic and the art of photography. I’m looking for those people who are investing in photography and who know there is so much more than happens than clicking a finger on a button on a camera.

Love is found in the little moments and those moments are the ones I’m always seeking.  I look to you to be inspired to create imagery that is true to you. I’m there to hear you, see you, listen to you and hold space for you. I’m there to see what you desire and dream of. I’m there to show you the beauty of your own life.

Then, the rest is the best part.

A little advice on love from a professional third wheeler. After years of couples in love and more than hundreds of love stories, I can say…

…that while I’m not an expert, I’d like to think I know a lot about that thing called love. Learn to listen, love abundantly, show up, forgive, be kind, inspire them to be their best self, laugh, hold space for them. Do this, all of this and more and you’ll see the clear picture about love. Be good to one another and let your partnership be the sort of messy imperfection that keeps your heart safe. A connection that keeps your cheeks flushed with happiness and your soul fuelled by goodness. Add a little smooching (actually a lot plus more) and you have yourself exactly what you need to keep that love pumping.
