Monica & Ben | love & a surprise

It’s not often when a soon to be mama messages me, that she is asking about a session just for her and her partner. Usually its the belly, the newborn stage or the milestones soon after that we are already thinking about.

I love that Monica was deeply present in where she was and wanted to capture the love her & Ben have for one another before planning the rest. She wanted to embrace and honor exactly where they were then, and to capture that new excitement bubbling in them both. And it made my heart skip a beat.

Photographing two new parents in the very early stages where a belly is barely visible, but taking moments to honour that little bean growing inside, even at such an early time, it’s pretty special. I love the excitement of it all. I love being able to capture them in their essence and drenched in the love that made this little life.

Love is a magical force and being able to document the many levels of love and the result of it, it’s one of the most beautiful part of what I do.
